Erasmus+ in Huelva: a postcard from Madgalena

Day 2 – Our Trip to Seville

Today we went to Seville! We met at school a little after 8 in the morning and then took the bus. After about an hour, we arrived in Seville and walked through the city for a bit.

We looked at the Cathedral of Seville and the Church of El Salvador from the outside the buildings looked very impressive. Then we went to the Reales Alcazares, the royal palace. It was really beautiful! The buildings and gardens were very special – and a great place to take photos. We also walked through a maze there because Ms. Richert really wanted to do it. We got a little lost at first, but it was a lot of fun. For lunch, we all went to eat some typical Spanish food together. After that, we had a bit of free time to explore the city. Unfortunately, many shops were closed because the Feria de Abril is happening in Seville – it’s a big spring festival with dancing, music, and traditional flamenco dresses. In the afternoon, we visited the Plaza de España. It reminded us a bit of Venice because of the water canals, the bridges, and the architecture. We even saw a small flamenco dance and many women in beautiful traditional dresses. In the late afternoon, we went back to the school.

It was a long day, but we had a lot of fun – Seville was really great!
