Erasmus+: IGS Maifeld in Türkiye – postcard day one

This week a delegation of 9 students, Miss Richert and Miss Retz is working in Denizli on our project „United in diversity: our rights, our future – building bridges, not walls” together with students from Turkey and Spain. Each day they will send you a postcard to tell you about their adventures. The first postcard is from Katharina Krecker and Ella Gäng:

Dear students of IGS Maifeld,

on the first morning of the Erasmus exchange in Turkey, Denizli for the project „United in diversity: our rights, our future- building bridges not walls“ we all arrived at the Private PEV School in Denizli.

We met in a big hall of the school, first we played some games to get to know each other better. We got snacks and drinks. Also, we did our presentations about our school and the area around Polch. The Turkish and Spanish students did the same.

After lunch in the cafeteria we played fun team-building sports games and had some time to get to know each other better.

In the afternoon, we got together with our exchange students and had a popular, special dish which is called „Iskender“. We all enjoyed the new food. We also visited a café and tried Turkish coffee. We also did fortune telling with the coffee.

Then it started raining and we went to the Mall of Denizli, we looked through a few shops and this was our first day of the Erasmus exchange in Turkey.

With love,

 Katharina and Ella
