Day 5 of our Erasmus+ journey to Huelva: our last postcard from Amelie

Today is the last day. We met at school at 8:15 a.m. After arriving, at first we formed groups and then we went together to the gym, where we sat at prepared tables. There, we watched a video called „Women in Science“ about various women scientists. Special was that these videos were filmed by the students themselves. Afterwards, we worked as teams on a Kahoot quiz about the Scientists participated in the video. Afterwards, there was another game called „Who’s Who?“ – on each table was a sheet with a table containing the names of all the visiting scientists. Then, participants had to assign the scientists characteristics, such as their profession (e.g., biologist), their hobbies, and who their idol is. The goal was to guess which characteristics belong to each scientist. After the games, we had breakfast together. A scientist sat at each table so we could chat. Afterwards, the European anthem was played to celebrate Europe Day together. Afterwards, each Erasmus participant received a certificate, and we took many group photos to commemorate the day. After the morning together at school, we walked to the harbor, where a boat was waiting for us. Everyone had brought something to eat—typical specialties from their home country. The Spanish, for example, brought cheese and bacon. We sailed on the boat for about two hours across the Río Odiel, and the official program ended at 3 p.m. In the afternoon, we met privately to say goodbye. It was sad because we will all miss each other very much. We would like to thank the school and the teachers for making this wonderful week possible. We made new friends, discovered a new country, and had many unforgettable experiences.
