The day started with the bus ride to the Doñana National Park. It is a very spacious and species-rich park. It has several habitats, such as swamps, migratory dunes and cliffs. We looked at the lagoons and pine forests and discovered many animal species. Among them were many birds such as emperor eagles or various heron species.
At the very beginning we saw rabbits, horses, cows and deer. However, the goal of discovering a lynx unfortunately remained unfulfilled. It was very interesting to explore the different areas with our guide. He also discovered the gray peak while driving, which most could hardly find even with explanation. He also explained to us about the different tree species and reported on projects, for example, from WWF, which are to renaturalize the swamp area and plant more native tree species again. We spent the lunch break in a western-like village where a cultural procession also took place.
After that we went directly to the beach. There we first played volleyball and ended with a Turkish version of dodgeball. In the evening we went to a shopping center where you could buy everything possible. We Germans also learned something about the richest man in Spain who became famous through his fashion business.
