Hey everyone! Klasse.
Today was our first day in Huelva for the Erasmus+ exchange and we had a lot of fun and did interesting activities. In the morning, we were welcomed by the school. The headmaster gave a short speech. He thanked everyone for coming and said that he was happy that we are there . After the speech, two guitarists played some emotional songs for us. The songs were chosen to bring us all together, no matter where we come from. Then, an English teacher from Huelva explained the program for the week to us, so now we all know what we will do in the next days. After that we got to enjoy a traditional Andalusian dance performance. After that, it was time for the presentations. Each group introduced their hometown and school. First we presented Polch then they presented Valongo (Portugal), followed by Liévin (France), Argenteuil near Paris, Denizli (Turkey), and finally the local students from Huelva. Many presentations included details about typical foods and traditions from their country or town which was very interesting and fun to learn about. To test our memory we played a Kahoot quiz which contained questions from all the presentations. It was a lot of fun, and Amelie from our school was actually one of the winners. After a short break, we went on a guided city tour of Huelva where some students from Huelva explained the sights. We visited important landmarks like the City Hall and Casa Colón. Afterwards, we had the rest of the day free time to explore on our own. Some of us decided to go bowling. We met other Erasmus students there and played together. To sum up, it was a very beautiful and memorable day, and we’re looking forward to the rest of the week here in Huelva!
